Hi, everyone I plan to try the Denso spark plugs this season instead of NGK. Can anyone share some impressions on them? I've heard they have very good performance and last for years. I'm gonna change the present NGK CR8EH-9 with Denso U24FER9. I'll be happy to heard an opinion from someone who had tested them already Thanks in advance and take care |

First off, welcome to the forum balkanski!
Regarding Denso plugs - to be honest, I don't think you'll notice any difference. If you want more performance from your engine you'd be better uprating the air filter, exhaust and getting a Dynojet kit for the carbs. Changing the spark plus on a standard engine won't do much. I messed about with different plugs in tuned Mini engines years ago and on the road there was little or no noticeable improvement. Maybe on the dyno there might have been an extra bhp somewhere, but we're talking just over a 1% increase. On a CB400 that's 1/2 a bhp!
Regarding how long the spark plugs last - they're not exactly expensive, or difficult to replace, so I can't see what you're getting excited about! |

Thanks for the answer. The main reason I'm excited about is that here in Bulgaria it is likely to buy fake spark plugs, especially NGK. I was just curious about the Denso ones. Anyway I consider ordering the iridium NGKs from wemoto.com |

I have the iridium NGKs in my CB400. They seem to work fine, and because NGK are a known good manufacturer they should last OK.
I still plan on replacing them at the recommended service interval though! |
