Ive been reading on here about adjusting the cam chain but coudnt make much sense of it. so can anyone explain exactly what i need to do?

also my local mechanic said it may need a new tensioner, but he couldnt find one from his suppliers. any idea where and if you can get them if adjusting it doesnt work? Its a 97 SF btw.

dont know if this is any help as ive never done it on the superfour but on my gixer its an automatic tensioner so shouldnt need adjusting...if it is loose and is an automatic type one put a slotted end screw driver in the end, turn it clockwise i think until it locks then turn it anti clockwise slightly and let the tensioner take the tension of the chain..
if its stuffed i dont know where you can get superfour ones...a manual one like this may work?
