Guys, I ride a ZXR400L. graduating from a RS125. I would love to have the same front bias set up on my zxr400. I have set the sag at 35mm sag front and 30mm sag rear using stock springs.

I dun like the current weight distribution on my bike now. So after having my front fork serviced with fresh oil today, I lower the front by 5mm. What I would like is to raise up the ride height.

May I know how does the ride height adjuster work? Do i need to shim it to raise the rear?

Please share with me.

Ive been told you dont set any sag on the rear for the zxr?...I dont know, havent got a clue bout suspension, might just be for on track. The rider height adjust, is just two nuts, one underneith the shocks top mounting bracket, the other above with a split pin thingy. Just take ya tank off,a nd should be pretty straight forward

i dont set any of mine up with any sag.. 20mm sag and it runs wide, then kicks me outta the seat when it hits bumps.

**im 8 stone and need a softer spring though**

sooo.. who wants to lend me 6k then ?

Ichi, your sag sounds about right, if you don't have an adjustable shock you can use the to shock mount. Just loosen the top nut and rotate the bottom nut up to get the height you want. Then tighten the top nut and put the cotter pin back in.
What tires are you running, different brands have different profiles and will feel very different on turn in and on the side of the tire.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to fiddling with it once I find the time to hit the track.

I'm running on Dunlop GPR Alpha 10. They are amazing tires, improvement over GPR70SP. Oh the front comes in H rated 120 60/17.
