dont know if this is a problem or not but at idle and in neutral, if i open the throttle fully, it gets to about 12000 then its like it misfires and the revs drop even if i keep throttle open. the neutral light also blinks in time with the "misfire"

is it supposed to do this? i wont know if it does it on the orad till the weekend but would appreciate any advice on this.

btw, i know you shouldnt rev it like that, i was doing it as part of the bleeding process.

cheers

mike

Quite often whilst in neutral and you snap the throttle open, it will hit the rev limiter before the tacho needle ctaches up and hence appears to mis at a lower rpm.
Tough on the engine, but gradually increase the rpm rather than a quick transition into a wide open throttle. You will probably find it'll rev cleanly. Or take it out on the open road and test it under load to redline and make sure it does not cut out befor it's meant to.
