Not too difficult but a bit fiddly.
Undo 2 screws holding switchgear
Undo nuts on throttle cables which secures them to switchgear
Slacken cables, remove bust one from throttle assembly
Remove tank
Unthread cable from mounting clip
Remove from carbs

Installation is the reverse of removal!! You may wish to oil new cable before it goes in, however new cables generally have a coating so should be fine for a while.

Correct.

It'll be the same as the one you take off that's snapped.

Think about how the throttle operates and I'm sure you'll work it out.

Incidentally, this is far more trouble than it should be on a CB. I had the cables off the diversion for a check/lube, and it's a separate throttle housing on the handle bar - two screws and the cables fall out, piece of cake to put it all back together.

I would get both cables, especially if you are buying a pattern part. But as above, you will soon work out if you twist the grip while looking at the carbs and see which cables does what.
