I've been trying to find a supplier for a power relay for a sub woofer but I can't find any alternatives so far. The relay went sticky through lack of use. (I Think)

The Sub is a KEF PSW2000 & the relay that is fitted is made by Goodsky, Part # RUDH-SH-124D The data sheet for it can be found here:- http://www.goodsky.co.uk/datafiles/RUDHRUUH.pdf

I've contacted the main supplier H. Kuhnke Ltd but they can only supply in min order qtys of 1000 which is useless to me & KEF just keep telling me that to replace the board will cost about £120.

Anybody got any idea where I can find a replacement or alternative that would do the job? I've tried using the RS & Fanell part finder thingy but it's a pain in the arse.

Thanks!!

Auto Relays won't do for two reasons.

1) Auto relays have blade pins on them, I need one with round pins for soldering the component to the board rather than plugging it in.

2) Audio spec components usually have better quality contacts, In the case of the relay, The one I need uses Silver/Alloy ones.

Thanks anyway though!!

hiya, as you tried rs electronics rswww.com what about maplin? could you not use an car one and just solder some wire onto the blade connectors, find loads in a scrappy. i dont believe the hype about loss of quality over such a small area considdering the pcb is only made of copper and all the components are soldered on anyway, but each to there own.
Cheers
Ian

Try FARNELL.com

it does say those relays are also for coffee pots...

I for one have found the hype affects things! in either direction, depending on the coffee, or white wine and lemon juice.

Wot IS that... musk??
