Thought I should just clarify my point about people being sad. I don't mean you're sad if you use facebook, just the people who feel like it's the only way to 'keep in touch' are sad. Clearly it's a useful tool, if you can put up with all the bollocks that is!
Before I left I did join what was (IMHO) the best group on there,
It's called "Fcuk off!!! I don't want to be a vampire/werewolf/zombie etc etc"

i find its the best way to keep in touch with most of my mates.
most of my mates use their accounts daily and it costs nothing to send them a message asking, "you coming up the park tonight?"
better than spending 12p on a text message in my eyes. yes you have to offset the cost of broadband, but thats only if you use the net for fb myspace etc. plus im at work.... |

Si - 12p to send a text is expensive. I'm on a Virgin Media package, get 300 texts plus 300 mins to any network for £10 a month... might be worth looking at if you have the option. |

I am. I was commanded to use it by my mates. I agree there are too many tacky little applications and things but generally it's quite a useful resource.

im on payg and dont fancy a contract, been screwed by the company's too many times. i havent had credit since before christmas and to be honest, i havent missed it!
a tenner usually lasts me a couple of months if i do have credit, especially as i contact most mates through msn/myspace/facebook etc |
