How do I remove the standard bar ends on the CB400sf PB1. Do they just unscrew?

Also what is the internal size of the bar?

TBH mate, don't do it. The lightweight ones are the equivalent of removing wheel balancing weights to reduce unsprung mass. it only makes sense until you actually think about it. I tidied up my originals and got them powdercoated. Effective, cheap, tidy.

Cheers, I didn't think of it like that.. In that case does anyone know where I can get replacements from as one of them is badly scratched from a fall the previous owner had

Nah, I think i'm going to have to change them afterall as the more i see them, the more i hate them...

I will however be heeding your advice and get an almost equally weighted replacement bar end..

Therefore if someone knows exactly how to remove them i'd greatly appreciate it... Tried using a wrench to unscrew it but that was to no avail..

just a steel screw in an aluminium inner weight, nothing more clever. problem is when the steel head rusts, and the steel screw seizes in the ally inner, then it can get tricky. But it's just a screw in a plain thread.

Hold the bar end outer still, or the whole lot will spin inside the bar inner rubbers.

that's what a broken one looks like, you can work out why you need to hold the outer still.

Mine isn't like that... It's basically a half sphere without any visible screws
