I have a lot of surface rust on one of the rear shocks as well as having both springs suffering from the above..

Can someone tell me how i should go about removing the springs from the shocks? Does anyone know where I can get replacemnet coloured springs from?

Also is it ok for me to only remove one shock from my bike and leave it with one shock for a couple of days (will the other shock or swingarm be under alot of unnessary pressure / force)

Thanks guys,

Chris

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.kawachi.zaq.ne.jp/hiroauto/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=2&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dnc31%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

Try the copying & pasting the above link. The translation isn't that good, but I'm sure from the pictures you can work it out.

Good luck!

If it ain't broke - fix it!

Thanks, Good site to know about as its got quite a few things I was planning on doing!

I think "translation isn't that good" is a little bit of an understatement....It's like dealing with one of those indian call centres...

Do you have any tips I should be aware of when removing/installing the fork (to prevent leaks, damaging seals, etc)?

Yeah you can leave the bike with one shock on it should be fine. I took both mine off and got a flat piece of steel, drilled holes in either end and fixed that in place just to hold the back end up. It was fine.

If you aint livin on the edge - your takin up too much room!
