Is it a rattle or clicking/ticking noise? |

i know the nc30's famous for ticking, and its definitly not that. i suppose yes, it is a clicking noise, coming from where the front and rear headers connect. |

Have you checked for a leak in the exhaust?
I had a rattle in my pipework that turned out to be pieces of perforated pipe from my Can internals...

yeah, no leaks. cant see how anything couldve got into the pipework. its louder when its started up from cold, and once warmed up it gets quieter, but still there. |

Not sure of the best way to seal at the join but try cutting a strip of aluminium flashing(like they use for roofing) to use as a sleeve or shim and see if that seals it...I'd be reluctant to use something like firegum because it'll make it near impossible to separate the join once it's set...

Hi Silicon is the go for sealing exhausts, if you are going to run it on a dyno make sure you use "sensor safe" stuff or it will screw the O2 sensor.

Take it off and see... it'll also give you a chance to polish up the pipework... |
