Hi, guys :) How do you measure the oil level of your bikes? Do you screw the prepared clean dipstick into its hole or just put it in? Thanks in advance for the answers.
Thanks Bugie. My dipstick is the same thickness either side of the line, I'm presuming that you mean the flat bit at the end of the stick after the raised line? Ian.
warm the bike and let it cool for ten minutes, this thins the oils so that it all drops into the sump. then whilst on level ground unscrew the dipstick wipe it and put it back without screwing it in then hold the bike upright and take another reading from it. job done
