Hi everyone

The clutch in my 95 SF is slipping at hi rpm, there is slack in the cable and im certianly not having the rossi problem of the wind blast pushing the clutch lever in

I have only noticed this problem since i have removed my restrictors, guess it cant handle the extra power! I dont fanny around with the clutch either so unless the damage was done before i bought the bike i cant see how it would be worn out.

Is there any adjustment inside the crank case?

If the clutch is buggered can anyone recomend what i should do?

Many thanks for your help

Jim

hi iv recently taken the restrictor out of mine and had the same problem, iv changed the clutch plates and springs myself for heavy duty ones. its not that big of a job. there is no adjustment in the crankcase though. if you do change the clutch i made the mistake of over tightening on of the four bolts which compress the springs so i would defo get a torque setting for them. got the clutch parts from wemoto

i think they are the same as early cbr600 items if so use the torque settings for that.

wemoto do clutch plates....make sure u get the steel set too....change the both sets of plates including new springs and it will be fine.

Dave47, how did u go about removing the "Stake" nut in the centre of the basket? an impact gun??...it is a right bugger to get off and ended taking mine to a garage to have it done.

Keep it gutter....keep it grimey................one

Can't you use a clutch holder? You can make your own or there are a set of adjustable "mole grip" ones that do the job.
