+ NC29 swingarm ('29 wheels soon), Quill T3 Ti, lots of black, blade rear hangers, beet rearsets, brembo brake. Top mods: BT45's, touring screen & rack with 50L box! Stolen recovered, scumbags best not try again.

Thanks - appreciate it! Since then it has the big touring screen and 50 litre top box back on, a different tank and seat unit with decent paint (black of course), a fireblade stand so it doesn't lean so perilously, brand new front disc, steel rear line, probably some other stuff I forgot. It has some horrible rusty old chrome mirrors until I finally make a decision or find some nice ones in a skip

Also a good 5k miles since about July when it went back together! So quite a lot more dirt and the just-polished shine is long gone off the downpipes, but it always comes back.

The aluminium panels are going black anodised when I finally get round to it.

I kinda prefer the shiny picture when it was just put back together, without ugly if practical bits. There are various threads about mods in the link in my sig, including the stand conversion.

Here is my baby, I brought her a few weeks ago.
Needs a bit of work though as a young lad has bodged her badly.
Just managed to source a set of clocks (& various other parts) hopefully be here next week.
Have problem with my can rubbing on my swingin arm & has made a groove in it, so gonna have to find solution there. The lad has already used about 10 washers to move it out but hasn't worked.
He's also had a scrambler side stand welded further forward so it's in the way of gear change so new one's on it's way.
At least it has a nice paint job though it's a matalic black.
Can't wait to get riding her!!!

You don't need balls to ride a motorbike!!
At least i can't crack mine when i come off!!

It looks like he used lnoger shocks? I used a fireblade stand on my CB-1, it bolted straight on with the same switch and everything and was about 2cm longer, which compensated perfectly for the raised rear. Thats not to say i know if it will fit a 400sf mind. Put a std stand on it, and it'll lean over perilously.

Can you get an oval exhaust instead? That'll solve your clearance issues.

Yeah I know

I tried rubbing them down with T-cut to get the red off but they went pink

Thought they'd look better silver but need advice from a cleaning/polishing guru - if only there was one on here

Wet & dry paper and autosol?

If it ain't broke - fix it!

Use wet and dry paper of varying grades with parafin, once you work down you about 800-1000 grit use autosol and watch that beauty shine!

If you aint livin on the edge - your takin up too much room!
