I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find anything on the search. I'm after a new road fairing for my NC30, which is the best one? By best I mean quality and ease or fitment, I don't mind paying a bit more if it is good!!
Thanks

There are a good few companies out there that do good aftermarket fibreglass items (Skidmarx, |Jap 4 Performance,/Tyga, ARD etc) but to get genuine Honda, that'll be difficult and expensive (David Silver Spares) |

I've given up on genuine Honda stuff, and trying to piece together a whole kit of ebay is proving a nightmare!! Also I would be scared of dropping it again if I had spent a stupid amount on the fairing. But obviously I still want something that will look good I'll check out those companies.
Thanks

Take your point but you can buy anything from the net and find it to be damaged upon delivery, are they up to the job strength wise? (i.e you say they are thin) Dont forget the price, are they worth it?

id say they are worth it since a paint job over here is £500 alone.
A few people on here have bought them, half seem very happy, and the other half were abit p****d off about them. |

I have actually seen a bike with these fitted (Camel paint job) and they were plastic, not fibreglass. It looked ok, although the right hand inspection panel was missing |

They are made of PVC as stated in the advert.I wonder if you can buy a non paint job one? As I posses an nc24 this might be the only option of ever getting a complete kit. I think someone got one on here but then got stung for extra shipping costs. |

Just been in contact with a guy who has one on an NC30, here is what he said. 'Hi there, These fairings are good, very good for the price if you consider getting a set of genuine fairings, having them prepared and then resprayed to the same scheme, you'd be looking at say a grand at least??
For this scheme (Repsol) the colours are one solid colour where the panels join so no alignment problems at all.
There are fitting issues, you will need to be handy with a drill and heat gun (to help shape them) and have a sensical approach to lining up and drilling the holes, I used a genuine v-piece to help line mine up. There are lugs missing from the moulds, like the rear light ones for instance, but if you have a set of original plastics you can just araldite the metal bracket to the panel and it will fit fine.
I say go for it, just have patience, leave yourself a weekend to get them done. Oh and be careful tightening the fixing screws, the paint can flake off, I have got touch up pens from Halfords to make them good.
If you do get them and want to know anymore drop me an email and I'll help if I can.
Cheers, Anthony' Hope this helps. Jim. |

Thanks for the link, I could be interested in those, but they don't do the colour scheme I'm after These ar ethe prices I have found so far: Full fairing from skidmarx is £340, Jap 4 Performance is £480, NC30 Club is £257, ARD only seem to do non standard race fairings. Does anyone have any experience with the fairings listed? Is the Jap 4 one worth the extra money?
Thanks
Jason
