Where can I find the vin number on my 1990 GSXR 400?

on the frame at the headstock,and on the clutch caseing side of the motor

Better off to go with the one on the headstock cause the engine can be changed.

engine and frame numbers 99.9% of the time on jap 400's never match!
recorded vin as on japanese documentation is on the headstock (right side of the frame at the very front of the frame) will start with prefix gk7
