Right it's taken me ages to get this bike running like a dream!!!! had the dreaded o-rings done the carbs were stripped down to the bone and every o-ring and gasket replaced, changed oil and filter/ new NGK iridium plugs and Taylor silicon HT leads, new battery/ Speedo cable/ fork seals/ Starts first time all the time and pulls well through the gears, sounds beautiful with the can it's got on there which is a full stainless steel system. The engine was replaced due to my mate who owned before me was knocked off it damaging the lower engine casing. I ended up buying new casings to replace the bottom end but found a engine on eBay, and went down that route instead the mileage on the engine damaged was 19755km which is roughly 11000 miles the engine off eBay was a few thousand less . I was going to rebuild the old engine but never got the time to do it. Loads of spares i.e.:- engine/ casings/ exhausts down pipes/ air box/ rad/ set of carbs which I’m in the middle of doing a full rebuild on like the set on the 400. I just put tax on it now!!!! it was a dry weekend and thought sod it so took it out for a blast at least one of my bikes is on the road!!!!! still cant get over how quick it is for a 400 though and this one goes off the clock past 180kph
