Has anyone seen a spec sheet that has the time it takes the CB 400 Super Four (circa 1994) to get to 100kph/60mph? There are various spec sheets that nominate the power and torque but not times. Found one that said 4.5, that sounds a bit optimistic too me. |

4.5 sound optimistic to me. A CB500 s quoted at 5.5 seconds, and that has more bhp.
If anyone ever asks me, I'll usually say 5.5ish. It's still fast compared to a car, but sounds far more plausible. |
WWW.HONDACB1.CO.NR + NC29 swingarm ('29 wheels soon), Quill T3 Ti, lots of black, blade rear hangers, beet rearsets, brembo brake. Top mods: BT45's, touring screen & rack with 50L box! Stolen recovered, scumbags best not try again. |

I like to think that its 5-6 secs which is certainly faster that most cars. |

Also, it depends hugely on rider skill.
I can launch my bike and easily be to 80mph faster than my uncle who can't ride for sh!t, and can be to 60mph faster than my cousin on his zxr400l, though his riding is really coming on so that won't last much longer.
I reckon if a CB-1 is capable of 5.5 I can probably do 5.8.

Yep, which might well mean it has more of its power lower down Horrid things to ride though. |

cb500s are better than peeps give em credit for ( hence it is/was the couriers workhorse of choice ).......as for bhp figures i think u will find that they are about the same as the superfour putting out about 56bhp....i have been on ride outs with cb500s ..........from a standing start they are no quicker even a bit slower i would say.......however at high speed it will leave the superfour eating dust rolling on from 70 - 125mph........S4's run outa puff past 110mph and take an age to get to 125.....cb500 just outsteams it within this speed range.
