The wife wants to move to California. Is it possible to get these bikes registered there? As far as I know there is no harder place in the US to register and maintain a vehice when it comes to smoging.
Any input appreciated.

That was me who started that thread on the BARF. There is an NC35 already registered for street use in their classifieds section right now. That would save some hassle for you. Keep in mind, I got mine through in Oregon, where it was actually really easy. I have no idea what the proper procedure for California is.
