thats not a direct fit for a 76a. the 76a is k&n part number su-7592
which is a conical filter and has a fitting plate like the std air filter

I assume that if your bike is running a little rich then a free flow filter may help with this as itll be sucking more air in?

yeah a little but if its running rich cause of a problem with emulsion tubes being worn then no amount of free flowing air will help cause worn emulsion tubes don't atomize fuel properly.
