Thanks for the link evil, never did drink enough for those other ones. Need to make sure the bike is going to be sound before I splash out on cosmetics. Still a fair bit to do.
Only problem would be getting the tank sorted to match, but thats what i would call a 'nice' problem..
Easy to sort out the tank. You don't need to respray it try this .... Wash it off, and they wet and dry with 1500 grade. Be careful over the stikers. Then use some G3 compound on it with water and a little soap and polish with wet buffing mop on a drill.
Deepends how deep they are but it's worth a try - be careful with it and you should be ok. That tank was laquerred again ... but you really need a sprayer to put some 2 pack over it as it's more petrol proof than the stuff you can buy.
But a secondhand tank cover isn't expensive when they come up.
