 using the nc30 with no speedo

hi all i took the speedo off my nc30 to attach a digi one that just goes to the wheel and it ran like a bag of s**t and never reved so when i put it back on it worked fine again why is this and is there any way to get around this as i dont want to have any clocks at all apart from temp guage thanks craig.

It's to stop peeps getting around the speed limiter by removing the speedo.

Huh? I removed just the speedo cable on my NC30 for doing a trackday but left the clock still wired up etc, and it ran fine as far as I noticed. Why is this? Before when I had it on the road with the cable connected it still had the 180kph restriction...

Yea but does this mean that if I remove the speedo completely the 180kph restriction or whatever will come back?

It will cut spark to the rear 2 cylinders.

Unless you have fitted a M-Max/HRC/POSH Firm etc to the CDI.

right so is it more trouble than its worth to do it and compleatly remove the speedo i just want no clocks or anything on the bike apart from a temp guage for obvious reasons.
