You'd better start buying Reg/Recs then
For the extra £500 you'll pay you won't get £500 worth more bike. |

i think i depends. i have had the FZR(1 year) and as my pic shows i have a VFR now (5 months) personally i had a FZR that was f o 0 ked when i got it and despite my best efforts it never felt good. it was in standard trim. now that i have the VFR, again in standard trim, i have to say i prefer it but that may be down to the fact that i ahve a good condition VFR and had a heap a sh!ite condition FZR. despite me liking yamahas far more, the parts availablilty was a pain in the ar se. so fr convience of parts i chose the honda |

Debatable. Although, if it was a choice between an EC prepped FZR and an abused NC30, I'd go for the FZR. Maybe. |

You might be in luck !!!
Generally a £1000 FZR against a VFR will see the FZR much more together. If the two bikes are in the same condition you'd be looking at paying about £500 more on the VFR. Both bikes are "similar" in performance they just get there in different ways but if you thought the Honda is 50% better you'd be quite wrong. |

I have an FZR RR EXUP and my mate has a Honda VFR NC30. His was immaculate, mine was in good nik. Every time we have track days at Knockhill I am always on his tail, he never gets away! The only point where the VFR shines is on the straight where he just edges away, but your talking a few metres and this is probably down to his being in better condition! So from my experience I would say there really aint much difference i between the two, at least not at Knockhill |

If you get your forks and brakes rebuilt you'll be able to close under braking. |

i had a vfr and i think that for round a track i would pick the fzr, but thats just my opinion. the fzr just feels easier to ride fast than vfr, but for everyday use i would have to have the vfr. |

The FZR rocks on the track. VFR has more power in the low to midrange, but only pussies let the revs drop below 7000rpm anyway |
