I currently race a RVF-400 here is Australia and am interested in building a GSX-R400 race bike. Does anyone know how good they are, how much HP they make, stock and modified. What can be done to them, reliability etc. Everything you can tell me
Cheers

I think Stripes had one that was a race bike at 76bhp at the wheel.

ive got an compleetly original 1 (apart from paint) and i cant fault it atall!

great on corners! great above 7000rpm! goes off the clock in 5th gear and so far is reliable as fook! i do 300+ miles aweek and cant fault 1 bit! (apart from slight rist and back ache to start with!
stock 1 is about 60bhp! but there so light and nimble it feals like 100bhp

GET 1 you will not be pissed off!

They respond pretty well to a filter and a can tbh. Not sure on the exact gains from each, you'll have to wait for stripes to come on reall.

Most everyone racing 400s in the American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM), America's oldest roadracing organization, is on a Honda. Of those, most are on a vfr. I have an NC30, NC29, NC23 and a GK76 and right now I am racing the NC29. If you are on tight tracks the V-four will get out of the corners better.
