think my original thread has been deleted so thought id make a new one so everyone can see the quality of the ebay panels once they are fitted, not too bad i dont think, theres a couple of areas that need looking at like the nose cone to mids black line that doesnt line up but iv got some gloss black vynl to sort that out, that should also make the red line of the tank match the red line of the upper portion of the nose cone.

my favorite picy

Is it just the lines of the paint that don't match up? Panel fitment doesn't look too bad from this distance?

yeah just the lines of the paint, but if u look at the red line of the nose cone it matches the line of the tank so once iv fitted the black gloss vynl on the mid it should flow real well.

dont get me wrong they were a bitch to fit and took forever i nearly launched a paypal claim.

one thing that i dont think im even gonna bother doing is fitting the Vpeice as the brackets inside the lowers are just soooo *Censored*g far out of synch with what they should be.

but all in all i think it looks the nuts especially in the first picture

just need some rearsets and an mot and im sorted

Put the V piece in, its there to stop the wind getting inside the bodywork and blowing it off at speed and after all the time you've spent getting the panels to fit you really dont want that!

i was just thinking that the v is missing myself, get it on there, last thing you want is a stone in the rad, or worse youre shiny new panels bouncing down the road. looks pretty good though

the plastic feels slightly thinnner and the paint finsh isnt great with regards to the laquer, generally the paintwork is ok but if i could be arsed i get em laquered again but well i cant be arsed.

as soon as it moted its getting sold and i may get an RVF or pay off a credit card.

"where did ya get your mushrooms from, did you have to drill them in, im after a set"

R&G from hein gericke where i work, there the expensive ones wi the "tie bar" across the engine so u dont need to drill the bodywork.

todays little jobs involved pumping the tyres up and popping more petrolin the tank with some motul fuels system clean ready for a small blast to and from the MOT centre tommorro, along with replacing the nuts and wahers and nyloc bolts on the lowers undercarriage, made em stainless this time instead of the mild steal which was there up unitl now.

had a better look at the v piece situation and actually it looks like itll be a simple job (hopefully)

still got the black vynl to stick on for the nose cone/mids paint alignment
cant wait to get this sold tbh

took about 2 weeks iirc, actually arrived very well packaged only thing semi dodgy was the h panel for the seat unit was a little cracked, but nothing major, they offered to swap it along with another piece but i couldnt be arsed sending to hong kong, that and theres always the paint match problems you can have from bodywork from a different batch.

looks real nice now, took it too work and showed a couple of ppl they seemed impressed, i think the problem lies in if you know whats wrong with something that is all you focus on lol

passed its mot yesterday as well with flying colours, just need the v piece fitting and shes ready to advertise in the paper !!!

i reckon ill get £2000 for it all day long, m registered all its old mots and it only dont 10000miles.
