I'm just starting a refurb and am looking for some info regarding the colour scheme. The bike is granite blue/silver (shown as type 2 on the vsource model info page). Can anyone tell me if the turquoise-ish colour of the decal stripes on the fairing and tank is available as a paint and, if so, what is it called? For the few chips that need attention it hardly seems worth thinking about having to source new decals.
Well, I think the colour (I've heard it called "teal" before) is noted in the Parts Catalog, on the last pages, but it is in Japanese, which I cannot read. The NC30 Parts Catalogs include colour tables on these pages, but the NC29 and '35 catalogs do not, so it is not obvious where these colours are named. In this case, your best bet may be to have a professional automotive paint shop scan the actual colour and analyse it. They can provide a match to it, whatever it's called...
